For Secure Blue Members

As a Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota member, you have access to high quality doctors without making a trip to the clinic.

Doctor On Demand® by Included Health allows you to see doctors live via video to address many of your healthcare needs online. Whether you are dealing with a sore throat, recovering from the flu, or are seeking help for your mental health, Doctor on Demand provides affordable and convenient care so you can start feeling better, faster.

How does it work?

To get started, download the Doctor On Demand app and activate your account — make sure you list Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota as your health insurance. Once you are in your account, select Get Care to book a visit with a provider of your choice. All providers are high-quality, top-rated among members, and are board- certified and licensed.

When you’re ready for your appointment, you can simply connect with your healthcare provider via video call using a computer, tablet or smartphone. From there, your healthcare provider will perform an assessment, diagnosis and treatment plan, including prescribing medication when necessary.

Instead of sitting in a waiting room, the average wait time to see a Doctor On Demand urgent care provider is typically five minutes or less. Doctor On Demand can treat 90% of all common emergency room complaints, including:
• Cold and flu
• Urinary tract infections
• COVID-19
• Allergies
• Asthma
• Vomiting & diarrhea
• Pharmacy refills
• Labs & screenings

Therapists, psychologists and psychiatrists can help treat depression, anxiety, addiction and other mental health conditions.

How much does it cost?

Using Doctor On Demand saves both time and money — virtual visits cost less than going to an emergency room or urgent care clinic. The exact cost of your visit can depend on the services you are using, the length of your appointment, and on your plan coverage. Prior to your appointment, you can reference the Doctor On Demand mobile app or website to evaluate the exact price of the services you need.
